Vishnu Shasaranamam

Vishnu, the god of home and family values, represents stability and order. Vishnu is recognizable by the four symbols he often carries: the discus, conch, club, and lotus.Vishnu's wife, Lakshmi, is the Goddess of Abundance and Prosperity. She is frequently depicted standing on a lotus throne and holding lotuses in her hands. As the goddess of prosperity, she is often shown with gold coins spilling from her hands.
Puja is the act of showing reverence to a god, a spirit, or anoth
er aspect of the divine through invocations, prayers, songs, and rituals. An essential part of puja for the Hindu devotee is making a spiritual connection with the divine. Most often that contact is facilitated

through an object: an element of nature, a sculpture, a vessel, a painting, or a print.
The Vishnu sahasranama (Sanskrit viṣṇusahasranāma, a tatpurusha compound translating literally to "the thousand names of Vishnu") is a list of 1,000 names (sahasranama) of Vishnu, one of the main forms of God in Hinduism and the personal supreme God forVaishnavas (followers of Vishnu). It is also one of the most sacred and
commonly chanted stotras in Hinduism. The Vishnu sahasranama as found in the Mahabharata is the most popular version of the 1000 names of Vishnu. Another version exists in the Padma Purana andMatsya Purana. Each name eulogizes one of His countless great attributes.
